Duc de Berry French Tapestry

Duc de Berry is a French jacquard wall tapestry using the Halluin stitch. This piece is based on the work of Jean de France, also known as the Duke of Berry. He is known for his richly illuminated Book Of Hours. This tapestry represents May, the month traditionally considered as the month of love. For his Book Of Hours series, the Duke chose very skilled artists to illustrate and conceptualize daily labor of the four seasons, always adorned with charming landscapes and beautiful castles.
