This European jacquard tapestry cushion cover is called Josephine. These flowers were on the upholstery fabrics of the Empress Josephine (1763-1814) in Compiegne. The horn of plenty forming a "J" in the middle of the pattern makes a double allusion to Josephine and to prosperity.
