Pavots French Couch Pillow Cushion

Pavots, or Poppies is a French woven jacquard cushion cover by contemporary French artist, Tal Waldman. It is an excerpt from her Le Jardin De Tal, or Tal's Garden, also called The Garden of Creation. The parent tapestry to this cushion is #7753 Le Jardin De Tal and the companion cushion #5430 Foret. The creator's inspiration: The creation of life merges with the mythologies of a garden, the Garden of Eden and the garden as a pagan place of creation and life. A personal mythology is created. Waldman says, Traditionally, tapestry reveals secrets, messages, mythologies, stories. It seemed natural to offer a personal interpretation and at once an intimate, universal and timeless theme.
