The Waited For, also known as The Waiting, is an Italian jacquard wall tapestry portraying the work of Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918). Austrian-born Klimt wasn’t always appreciated for his inventive and symbolic style. The subjects of his paintings were considered controversial at the time because of their erotic nature. Since then, the world has largely changed its view on Klimt.
