Vendanges au Chateau French Tapestry

Vendanges au Chateau is a French woven jacquard wall tapestry. It is a reproduction taken from a famous series, Tenture De La Vie Aux Champs, or Tapestry Of Countryside Life, woven in approximately 1520 in the Tournai workshops; at a time that was the transition between the middle-ages and the Renaissance. This beautiful representation of manor life displays rich costume and a detailed landscape along with the daily labors of the wine harvest.
