Verdure Ferrieres French Tapestry

Verdure Ferrieres is a French jacquard wall tapestry done in the classic Verdure style; woven about 1718 in Brussels by the workshops of Reydams. This piece very beautifully depicts a detailed glimpse into the forest and river along a small path on a magnificent summer day. The entire scene is completed with a green and golden acanthus border.
