Le Vin Et la Vigne French Tapestry

Le Vin Et la Vigne, or Wine and Vine is a French woven jacquard wall tapestry. The noble owners of a 15th century vineyard inspect the winemaking and sample their wine. This work is a reproduction of a high warp French tapestry from the second half of the 15th century, now on display at the Museum of Cluny in Paris. The scene depicts the harvesting and processing of grapes for wine in medieval times. The background is done in the millefleurs style upon a green backdrop.
