Tournoi du roi Rene French Tapestry

Tournoi du roi Rene is a French woven jacquard wall tapestry. The dukes of Brittany and of Bourbon in single combat at the Tournament of King René are portrayed upon a background of cream chenille. The original artwork comes from King René's Tournament Book circa 1460, the illustrations attributed to Barthélemy d'Eyck. There are two matching cushion covers that make great companion pieces to this tapestry; #5500 Duc De Bourbon and #5499 Duc De Bretagne.
