Medieval Potiron French Throw

Medieval Potiron is a French woven jacquard tapestry throw. In the style of The Lady and the Unicorn series, a mille fleurs style upon a yellow backdrop portrays all the little animals oft seen in the background of the Unicorn tapestriesin the centerpiece. Outside this a flowered white background is surrounded by a blue border with small white rabbits. Mille fleur type backgrounds were used in medieval art as a means of decorating the areas which represent the forest. This piece has a companion cushion cover #5558 Medieval Potiron.
