Tapestry Cushions

Frequently Asked Questions

A tapestry cushion cover isn’t printed, it’s woven. The design is part of the fabric itself. That’s why the colors stay vivid and the surface feels textured. Over time, they soften slightly, the way a favorite blanket does, but they never lose their beauty.

Yes. Most of our tapestry pillows are crafted from 100% cotton or cotton-rich blends. The fibers breathe, wear well, and age gracefully. They’re the kind of fabric that feels cool in summer and comforting in winter.

Many of our tapestry cushion covers come from Belgium, a place known for fine weaving for over 500 years. The artisans there work on jacquard looms that allow intricate detail while keeping the old methods alive.

They’re low maintenance. Give them a light vacuum or shake to remove dust, and if a spill happens, spot clean gently. For a full wash, dry cleaning is safest. Avoid bright, direct sunlight for long hours, and your tapestry pillow covers will look new for years.

There’s no wrong way. Use a vintage tapestry pillow or two on a leather armchair, add floral ones to a window seat, or mix them with plain cushions for contrast. They look beautiful anywhere — and somehow always seem to tell a story.
